so who is the moral agent in these killings?

perhaps the mentally ill person cannot have mind or will either

it just might be time to institutionalize those who are a danger to others
with or against their will

The incidence of  these things appears to be increasing and might be related to the de-institutionalization movement starting in the 1970's. Conservatives wanted to save money and liberals wanted to give the residents the freedom to live a different lifestyle. We have gone too far.

ineffective lawyers
I have a modest proposal for criminals who claim their lawyers were ineffective and who win on that claim.
If it's serious enough to justify a new trial or a modified penalty they the lawyer should be disbarred for a period of time-- as he/she has been proven to be bad.

and also where the weather service was changing the warnings because morons didn't understand them--

ok i caved  turns out i had to go to the store even to get my cash back

so while there i paid the tax and then ordered my tv. 

btw it was a training error as far as i could tell and they should hve ha a web fix available.

It always seems that when folks blame the weapon they by necessity absolve the perpetrator.     

They say they don't but the words but or however are always somewhere in the explanation.

It is people who are the moral agents of right and wrong not the guns or cars or texting or alcohol or drugs. 

Those have no moral rightness or wrongness attached it is the individual who adds morality.

I just saw a poll on the local witn.com site about the proposed dollar coin. It seems in this non-scientific poll people don't like the idea. Well it's time to do it anyway and if folks don't like it they can use a debit card. it costs too much to keep printing dollar bills. Perhaps a canada like system of 2 dollar bills with dollar coins.
In fac, it's past time to do this and perhaps while we're at it get rid of the penny.

walmart has not responded to my last email reply so it looks like
i will take delivery of the item coming to the house then
get my money back for the "guarantee"

walmart update

The problem was the check out clerk didn't charge ta thus i have insufficient funds on the card. Their solution is not me to go back to the store and sort it out there.
Don't think that is likely to happen- they then told me if i just wanted my money back i had to go back to the store anyway.
NOT GONNA HAPPEN
I will be glad to add the tax to the card using my walmart account which will be closed shortly if they do not resolve this in my favor. My wife thinks this is a ploy to avoid having to sell the TV's at that price---if so it is dumber than "new coke" as they will lose a pretty good customer.

we went to walmart to get the 32 inch cheap doorbuster tv.
they had a one hour guarantee -- if you get there within that hour you can have the item at that price.
we were way back in the line and got the guarantee card-- jsut tried to register the card and

Made a sweet potato pie for the first time. Crust just ok -filling is good. Needs to firm up a little but i"m pleased on the whole.
